“We the peoples”: Public attitudes to global solidarity ​

These slides accompanied a keynote address by Hassan Damluji, Executive Director of Global Nation, delivered in London at “UNGA at 80: From 1946 to Our Future“. The event marked the 80th anniversary of the first meeting of the United Nations General Assembly and reflected on the evolution of multilateralism, the UN’s enduring relevance, and the challenges and opportunities shaping its future role.

Convened by UNA-UK, the event took place on Saturday, 17 January 2026 at Central Hall Westminster.
